The Art Gallery of York University (AGYU) is a university-affiliated, not-for-profit, public art gallery, committed to the presentation of innovative and challenging art by professional artists from Canada and abroad. The gallery distinguishes itself through a nationally and internationally recognized program of thought-provoking exhibitions that stimulate reflection, inquiry and debate on current practices in contemporary art.
The AGYU presents approximately four solo exhibitions per year, with a balance of Canadian and international artists. Exhibitions are organized by the gallery’s curators, and programmed one to two years in advance. The curators conduct ongoing research on artists throughout the year.
While we gratefully accept informational packages from artists and curators, we do not have a formal submission policy. Any packages sent to the gallery will be reviewed with great interest, but they will not be returned nor will they necessarily receive a response.
